Creating Every Girl's Hello Kitty Dream Room Using Hello Kitty Bedding
Since 1974, when Sanrio first introduced the Hello Kitty character, girls all over the world have been positively captivated by Hello Kitty's beautiful message of friendship. Unlike many other characters whose popularity has risen and fallen, Hello Kitty has proven to be a timeless classic that is still going strong today. Therefore, if you want to decorate a girl's room with a specific theme, and you don't want to take the risk that by next year the décor will be passé, Hello Kitty is a pretty safe choice.
White Crib Bedding
When decorating a bedroom, the focal point of the room is usually the bed, which you can cover with Hello Kitty bedding. Therefore, you can first choose a gorgeous Hello Kitty sheet set and comforter, and then work around that. You can also decorate the bed with some Hello Kitty dolls and Hello Kitty pillows.
Pink is the most common color for Hello Kitty beddings, comforters, sheet sets, etc. If you're choosing to do the room in pink, then you can vary the shades of pink in the various Hello Kitty products that you buy to decorate your room. A good piece of advice when decorating any child's room: The comforters and sheets, which get dirty and have to be washed a lot more often than curtains, should be in a color or pattern that shows the least dirt.
Some girls don't really like pink, or you may be concerned that as a girl enters her pre-teen or teenage years, she may regard pink as a "babyish" color. If that's the case, you can find Hello Kitty bedspreads in other color combinations such as black and white, bright or primary colors, blue, purple, etc. A preteen or teenage Hello Kitty room, instead of containing Hello Kitty dolls, may contain a Hello Kitty lamp on the desk and/or calendar on the wall.
If you have more than one girl sharing a Hello Kitty room, you'll have to balance the overall look to suit different ages and tastes. One idea would be to leave the walls white, add Hello Kitty window treatments in black and white, and each girl's bed can be a combination of a main color and the black and white Hello Kitty character. A baby's crib can be pale pink, a five-year-old can have a darker pink, and a ten-year-old may prefer primary colors.
